  • Form A flat washers are thicker than the more popular form B type washers.
  • They are self colour.
  • Washers provide a smooth surface for the nut or bolt to bear on, making it less likely to loosen as a result of an uneven fastening surface.
  • The main purpose of a washer is to distribute the load under a bolt head or the nut face.

APPLICATION:

On all manner of bolting applications.

Can be used with all types of bolts and nuts.

Self coloured finishes have no protection against corrosion, and are more suited for use in internal joinery applications. Self colour finishes have no definitive colour and can vary with the effects of natural oxidisation and weathering, from a bright zinc finish to a dark black colour. Before being used in exterior environments, they should be coated or painted with a protective covering.
