Washers - Zinc Plated

Washers - Zinc Plated

Our range of washer products has a product for any requirement.  If you are looking for a standard round washer, please select the "Flat Washers Form A Zinc Plated" option as this is the standard flat washer suitable for most applications.

Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrates surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers.

  • Ringlock washers provide high-quality, user-friendly bolt securing for the most demanding of applications and are ideal for repeated use.
  • The ring locking system guarantees that the two wedge lock washers are always fastened in the correct position with the wedge shaped cams on the inside and the radial teeth on the outside.
  • This means that the bolt locking system is always easy, safe and quick to install, even for non-specialist users.
  • Particularly suitable for dynamic loads – including when lubricants are used.
