Socket Screws

A range of screws all of which can be installed with the use of a hexagon key wrench or driver, available in a variety of finishes and types of heads.

Holo-Krome Screws are Thermo-Forged of alloy steel and scientifically heat treated, and they are stronger than conventional screws, size for size. As a general rule, a Holo-Krome screw is comparable in strength to an ordinary screw of the next larger standard diameter.

  • When placed into a conical cut hole, the countersunk head will sit flush with or below the surface of the surrounding material, improving the finish of the product and removing any potential trip / catch hazard.
  • The head is designed to be driven by a hex key.
  • Self colour finish.

  • Holo-Krome offers flat head Screws in 95 standard sizes.
  • These heavy-duty screws are especially well suited to fastening thin plates, strips, moldings, and sheet metal parts where the advantages of maximum head contact, flush surfaces and nonslip wrenching action are combined.
£0.00 Ex Tax: £0.00
  • Low head socket head cap screws are high strength, precision fasteners that are designed to be used in applications where head height is a problem.
  • Because of their reduced head height and smaller socket size, they cannot be preloaded as high as a standard socket head cap screw.
£0.00 Ex Tax: £0.00
  • Socket caps have a small cylindrical head with tall vertical sides.
  • They have a drive which is a six-sided recess for use with a hex key.
  • Manufactured to DIN 912 standards.
  • Self colour finish.

Please note: socket caps are partially threaded, and no longer available with a full length thread.

  • British standard pipe thread taper pressure plugs.
  • Taper pressure plugs are made to close tolerances and will seal at pressure up to 500psi without the use of sealing compounds.
  • They are often used for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.

Sealing is achieved by crushing the crest of one thread against the root of the mating thread. Dryseal plugs are used more frequently especially where re-use is required. More threads are engaged therfore creating a better seal. They are also prefered for use in softer materials to reduce the risk of over-torquing.
